Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and musician. She is mainly involved in Tamil and Malayalam films. She first made an appearance as an actor with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is born in the same Anglo-Indian family at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father is a lawyer working at the Madras High Court. Andrea is the youngest cousin of an assistant researcher in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah comes from Chennai. She went to National Public School, and after that, she graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea started classical piano lessons at age eight years old, was described as an "geek" and aspired to be a psychiatric until her board exam in 12th grade. Young Stars, a Jackson Five group that she was a part of when she was 10 was the foundation for singing and composing music. She was performer in her college in several performances organized by The Madras Players or EVAM. Andrea was the President of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in the Leo Coffee commercial with Shiva. She also acted as a character in Podhigai's series. The actress has appeared all over India. She was in a short role at the end of Kanda Mudhal 2005. Gautham Menon asked Andrea play the lead role after she performed in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea as Kalyani a homemaker whose husband engages in a sexual affair and gets blackmailed. Andrea was cast in the film following Simran, Tabu, and Tabu had been approached. The film was first released in 2010. In 2011, she agreed to take on a small part in the multi-starrer film of Venkatprabhu Mankatha that was came out in August 2011. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic film from 2013.
